Drop Off/Pick Up Information

Please Remember...
RIGHT turn in and RIGHT turn out of the lot
NCCA’s day starts at 8:00 am. Students are asked to arrive no later than 8:05 am to unpack, copy homework and prepare for the activities of the day, which start promptly at 8:15 am. Dismissal is at 4:00 pm for students not participating in the after school program. Please remember that during AM arrival and PM departure, left turns into or out of the parking lot are not permitted, by ordinance of the City of Plainfield.
Families who do not adhere to the stated arrival and pick-up times will be charged a fee of $10 per 15 minutes or part thereof for early arrival and/or late pickup.

For the safety of our students, staff and families, please observe the following procedures:

  • Hang up your cell phone please...
  • Expect the unexpected. We have many new students and families this year who may not be familiar with this procedure. Watch for the little ones in the lot.
  • Enter the lot slowly through the entrance on the right (furthest from 7th Street). The car lane will be marked by cones leading up to the building entrance at the rear of the building.
  • During AM drop off, slowly follow the path to the school entrance at the rear of the lot. If your child needs extra time to gather his or her belongings, please, pull into one of the NCCA parking spaces so that others may pass through unimpeded and drive up to the entrance when you are ready.
  • Students should disembark on the passenger side of the vehicle.
  • During dismissal, post the provided student placard in the passenger side window so that we can identify the student you are picking up.
  • During 4:00 PM dismissal, a staff member or volunteer will walk your child to the car and open the door for them.
  • Proceed slowly and make the right turn out of the lot.
  • If you need to go into the building for any reason or speak with a teacher outside, please back into one of the first eight spaces in the middle lane. Be mindful of traffic when crossing the lot. We appreciate your care and concern.

Following this procedure will keep our students safe and expedite the drop off and pick up processes.
