Cell Phone Policy

Students are discouraged from bringing cell phones to school. NCCA recognizes that some students may require phones as a means to communicate with a parent during transit to and from school. In those cases, the student is to leave the phone in the school office upon entry into the building and retrieve it upon dismissal.  The phone should be turned off while on school premises.

If a student is found to be in possession of a cell phone on the premises during school hours, the phone will be confiscated and held in the office until a parent comes to retrieve it. No exceptions.

Evolving cell phone technology puts powerful tools in your child's hands. Please be aware of the potential risks to your child's safety and especially the legal issues regarding your child's use of these devices and the messages, pictures, videos and websites he or she may be accessing with them. Ensure you know about ALL of the cell phones your child may have in his or her possession. Check with your service provider for helpful information about parental controls which limit access to adult content, restrict whom your child can communicate with and when.
